Ben Bulben:\u00a0 Part of the Dartry Mountains and\u00a0is\u00a0listed as a protected structure, it is easily\u00a0Sligos most recognisable natural attraction and\u00a0its distinct shape was formed by glaciers during the ice age\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cashel:\u00a0 Or Caiseal in gaelic is\u00a0a\u00a0type of small ring-fort in Ireland<\/p>\n

Cooldrumman:\u00a0 Or C\u00fal Dreimhne in gaelic is an\u00a0area north of Carney and south of Cashelgarren Co Sligo where the Battle of the Books was fought<\/p>\n

Inishmurray:\u00a0 Now an uninhabited island covering 228 acres (0.9\u00a0km2<\/sup>) situated\u00a07 km north west from Streedagh point off the coast of County Sligo Ireland<\/p>\n

Inis Muirdach:\u00a0 The island of Muirdach\u00a0or Inishmurray in its anglicised form<\/p>\n

Iona:\u00a0 \u00cc Chaluim Chille – the isle of Colm Cille is a small island in the Inner Hebrides off the western coast of Scotland it\u00a0was a center of Celtic Christianity for four centuries<\/p>\n

Muirdach:\u00a0\u00a0Saint Muiredach mac Echdach, also known as Murtagh was consecrated by St Patrick, he was\u00a0the founding bishop of the Diocese of Killala Co Mayo\u00a0Ireland in the 6th century and is believed to be the patron of the monastery on Inishmurray which bears his name<\/p>\n

St Colmcille:\u00a0 Colm Cille meaning dove of the church\u00a0and also known as Saint Columba\u00a0was the\u00a0founder of\u00a0a monastery on the island of\u00a0Iona Scotland, he\u00a0was born at Gartan Co. Donegal on December 7th 521, the son of a chief related to several of the princes then reigning in Ireland and in the west of Scotland<\/p>\n

St Finian:\u00a0 Born near Strangford Lough Co Down (495-589AD) \u00a0He\u00a0was the founder and first abbot-bishop of Movilla, near present-day Newtownards, Co Down, where there is still a graveyard and ruin of an abbey. His most distinguished disciple there was St Colmcille<\/p>\n

St Molaise:\u00a0 Lived in the 6th century and credited with bringing Christianity to North Sligo\u00a0little is known about him as there is no written record of his life, he is reputed to have pronounced the banishment on St Columba in 563AD<\/p>\n
